We are the makers of dreams, the people behind parties and the fun behind festivals. Our giant tipis, sailcloth’s and marquees are perfect for any event.
We are a proud Scottish Tipi, Sailcloth, Marquee and Stretch Tent Hire Company, based in Comrie, Perthshire, where we always seem to have all 4 seasons in 1 day!
Our warehouse is centrally located in Perth, which means the sky is the limit with our event locations! All our vehicles are accommodated on most ferry crossings, so all of the Outer Hebrides are covered, the Isles and the remotest of villages. We love a challenge!
Kurt is our main man! He lives and breathes outdoor structures. A keen weather-watcher, and hill walker, he loves being outdoors, so he really is “living the dream” with Dreams Under Canvas.
Before starting Dreams Under Canvas, you may have met Kurt from owning “King Boar”; who were a successful outdoor catering company, covering all areas of Scotland. From TV on-set crew dining, outdoor parties, Christmas markets, or outdoor triathlon challenges, Kurt’s team always provided an A1 service. Since selling the company, and using his knowledge of the outdoor entertainment world, Kurt’s dream was to provide structures, that assisted with events, all over Scotland – and Dreams Under Canvas was born!
Since starting the company 6 years ago, his business plan and vision have come to fusion perfectly. And all the time there is love in the air, Scottish outdoor weddings will be a perfect focus for Dreams Under Canvas.
While visitors and residents of Scotland enjoy the outdoors, there will always be outdoor events in Scotland; again, being the perfect focus for Dreams Under Canvas.
Cheryl joined the company in 2017 and has a pure marketing background within the events industry. Her speciality is making the impossible happen – between Kurt and Cheryl, there aren’t any situations that haven’t been solved with a happy ending and a smile on everyone’s faces. She’s incredibly organised and really keeps the Dreams Under Canvas Headquarters running slick!
Sandra does our Accounts and looks after the finer details of Dreams Under Canvas – and is worth her weight in Gold. She is also our Health and Safety guru, so wears several important hats.
Our crew – They are simply special! Dave, Jed, Alex, Tom, Scott, Graham…and the list goes on. Again, all outdoor guys so love being in the fresh-air walking, when they’re not our building structures. Their previous lives involve carpentry, scaffolding, and building, so great hand-on heads to have on our team. We are very proud of them, and they really are an asset to Dreams Under Canvas.
He is our loved company mascot – and to be honest, sometimes commands a little love and affection whilst on the build! So, if you see Angus out and about – always give him a little tussle on the head!
